2013 - 2014
Our primary and secondary facilities further expanded to meet the needs of a growing community. A locally based French homeschooling group joined us, becoming the root of our French language and culture programme and we undertook our first mural painting activity - something that has since become a Green Shoots tradition around our campus.
2015 - 2016
Green Shoots became a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and added the International Primary Curriculum to its programme. Our secondary students took their first overseas study trip, where they attended the GIN (Global Initiatives Network) conference in Canggu, Bali and visited the Green School.
2016 - 2017
Green Shoots earned accreditation by Cambridge International Exams (CIE) and became Hoi An’s first accredited CIE exam centre. Our kindergarten moved into the expanded primary and secondary campus, bringing all Green Shoots students together in a single location for the first time. The Green Shoots Staff Child Care class was launched, giving valued Vietnamese staff the option to have their kindergarten aged children participate in the type of programme that their parents were leading and supporting.
2017 - 2018
Green Shoots brought onboard its first Head of School, building on leadership from the school’s founding principal. Two of our top graduates received scholarships to prestigious high schools in Europe and here in Vietnam.  Our French programme earned official recognition from the French consular authorities in Vietnam.
2018 - 2019
Green Shoots became central Vietnam’s first and only Council of International Schools (CIS) member, putting it in the top 14% of international schools around the world. Upper secondary students enjoyed their first overseas student exchange, first inviting a group of Swedish teenagers to Hoi An then travelling to Sweden for a week. Green Shoots also put on its second major musical theatre performance, Wickedly Ever After, organised and performed by secondary students.
2020 - 2021
We welcomed a new Head of School with 21 years experience in international schools and were excited to introduce the Reggio Emilia pedagogy into our Early Years programme. At the close of our first decade of operation, our Alumni shone a spotlight on how far we’ve come: we celebrated the fact that three Green Shoots graduates received scholarship support to join the prestigious UWC group for their IB Diploma and our earliest graduates completed their university studies.
