Gareth Obie
Teacher of PE & Activities Director
Gareth Obie will be joining Green Shoots as Teacher of PE and Activities Director starting August 2022. Gareth will oversee the delivery and implementation of our all-school PE programme, after-school activities and intramural sports programmes, and direct and coordinate school sporting facilities including bookings, health and safety, and maintenance. Gareth joins us with 15 years of teaching experience, from a wide variety of places such as Egypt, Uzbekistan, China and Thailand. During his time in education, he has predominantly worked within Physical Education but mainly enjoys the management of whole school sport and activities. He loves to champion holistic education and believes it vital for the students of today and the future. He looks forward to joining a school which embraces and endorses this ethos as a community already. Gareth is qualified in BA (Hons) Business, Sport & Leisure from Nottingham, England, his home country.
