Green Shoots has selected DDP Projects as our project management company for the renovation of our new campus. Our two companies actually have a history together: one of DDP’s directors, Craig, was a founding parent at our school when we ran a Early Years programme in Da Nang, and he and his partner at DDP, Phil, also offered advice and ideas a few years ago when we first started looking to expand our facilities.
The role of a project manager is to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, using the right materials, and to the expected standards. We know that DDP will do an excellent job of this, as evidenced by their previous work in central Vietnam, which has included everything from mega projects like the Bana Hills French Village and Thuy Tu Culture Park to smaller projects such as Blush Beach Club just north of Hoi An.
Although Green Shoots has hired DDP as our project management firm, it also has a huge amount of experience and expertise in architectural design. The DDP team has joined multiple meetings with our contractor during the planning phase and has shared creative and sustainable building knowledge. They have contributed myriad design and material ideas to help us reduce our carbon footprint, use nature to beautify our campus, and reuse/recycle wherever possible.
